This VSE unit IMO is best since there is filtration AFTER the WIF sensor. Single filter L5P aftermarket units the WIF sensor is on the 'clean' side of the filter....if the water light comes on then it's too late. However when GM ditched the LML's piezoelectric injectors for the Denso solenoid injectors, they actually made controlling the L5P hardware with an older ECM much easier. The L5p was a very small exhaust side configuration, small up pipes, small exhaust turbo vanes, etc. So I am guessing the ECM was seeing some very high EGT’s and cut power to keep from melting pistons. You can do a level lift like Rough Country and Super Lift and turn up the keys and 35s will clear provided you don't go to negative on offset. I don't recommend a leveling kit or cranking the keys ...The trucks have lift pumps built in and can support enough fuel delivery for the current "tunes". The L5P has an in-tank pump that keeps the entire fuel system under positive pressure, so there is no need for a lift pump.
