There is a partial jam like this, but in the end the ball goes through... He cleaned and oiled the gun but it didn't help. Help something. Like. . Dept 813 p.o. box 4115

So I assembled a G43 today and took it out for function test. Not great. Having problems with the firing pin not resetting and causing fail to feed - it sometimes sticks out of the breech face and the next round hangs up on it. Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't. There are a few reports similar to your issue. Shield started adding +10% springs in the mags to address a loading issue. I'm not sure how to tell which spring is installed, if one doesn't have both to compare, the +10% is longer. Today, after cleaning my G43X, I routinely tested the firing pin, as per spec. To test, one pushes down the firing pin safety with one's finger and lightly shakes the slide front to rear. The firing pin should easily move back and force and protrude through the hole in the breach face for 1/16th of an inch or so. It did not.This 43X would prove me otherwise. I finally had time to take it out on Sunday. I had 1,000 rounds Tula sitting by the door for weeks; it was time. I ran probably 200 rounds through this thing. Shield mags. Glock mags. Half full. Replace the weak spring that came with the aftermarket SSL with the spring on the OEM SSL. That beefier spring on the OEM SSL (Part # 47877 lever marked "47876" or Part # 33731 lever marked "33730-1" in case of the G43) will work much better.
