Why not just have a tuner make you a tune with the lb7 idle and if you want a throatier sound put an aftermarket down pipe. It gets rid of most of the hissing sound the vvt's make.The Y bridge i have has a machined grove in the faces where it meets the intake and the seal is held on both sides so it cant move once torqued down to the engine. If you issue is with the oring staying in place while installing the part, i would put a couple dabs of RTV on the y bridge to retain the seals and then install it.If it won't fit you may be able to loosen the clamshells and bring them up to help. If that doesn't do it you will have to work on the y bridge.
